In
addition to a wide range of activities, the Scouts
Association uses traditional theological teaching
practices based on religious devotion, the assimilation
of the key values of Catholicism and personal development.
Lessons
are punctuated with various courses that scouts are
invited to attend, depending on their age and merit:
Christian
Training Course
The objective of this course is for scouts to understand
the fundamentals of catechism and the main principles
of moral judgement. Learning to live according to
the Christian tradition requires a full understanding
of the sacraments, festivals and dogma. This initial
course is both essential and compulsory for every
new scout.
Prayer
Vigil
Taking part in the prayer vigils enables a close link
to be maintained with God through processions. This
is the ultimate devout reward for our scouts, the
most deserving of whom will be allowed to say the
prayer and help to organise mass.
Pilgrimages
Advancing towards a meeting with Christ will be available
to the deserving scout who has successfully overcome
all the trials.
Retreats
For an absolute spiritual accomplishment, the Scouts
Association invites the youngsters to a retreat, so
that they can move intimately close to Christ and
pledge their loyalty.
